13th Asian Thermal Spray Conference

About the Cnference
The Asian Thermal Spray Conference (ATSC) is a platform for networking and knowledge sharing for the thermal spray community in the Asia-Pacific region. The conference will highlight advances in thermal spray research, including information on new processes, materials, and applications. The event provides an attractive forum for all stakeholders of the thermal spray community, such as researchers from industry, research institutions, and academia; professionals from thermal spray service providers; equipment and feedstock manufacturers; and OEMs and users to interact and exchange ideas during and after the conference. The event will also provide an ideal platform for young researchers and engineers to familiarize themselves with recent advances in this rapidly evolving technology and gain application knowledge through the exhibition involving leading industries showcasing their products and services. The past editions of the event organized in Japan, Korea, Singapore, China, and India were extremely successful with good participation. The 13th edition of ATSC will be held in Japan again in Sendai from 11 – 13 December 2024. The Tsukuba International Coating Symposium (TICS) will be held on December 9-10 at the same location.

The 13th Asian Thermal Spray Conference (ATSC2024) Program

Welcome to Sendai, Japan
We are greatly honored to host the 13th ATSC in Japan. Hosting ATSC in Japan is the third time following Nagoya in 2005 and Tsukuba in 2012, and this time, it will be held in Sendai, the largest city in the Tohoku region. It is just one and a half hours away from Tokyo by Shinkansen. Sendai is a metropolitan area with over one million population and is the political and economic center of the Tohoku region. Also, it is known as the "City of Forest," harmonizing nature with its urban landscape. Many people visit for its beautiful tourist spots and rich culinary culture. The venue for the conference, Tohoku University, is Japan's third oldest imperial university. It has a long history and is highly regarded in academic research and education.

How to Apply for a Presentation:
Please provide the presentation title, presenter (affiliation), an abstract of up to 200 words, and the preferred presentation format in English.
Then, Submit it on the ATSC2024 Application page.
Presentation Manuscripts: Presenters will be required to submit a presentation manuscript (A4, 2 pages) later.

- Participation fee includes registration fee, abstract collection, conference proceedings, banquet fee, tour fee, welcome party fee, and lunch fee.

- The "Tsukuba International Coating Symposium 2024 in Sendai: TICS10" will be held at the same venue from Monday, December 9th to Tuesday, December 10th. If you participate in both conferences, the participation fee will be discounted.

- Pre-registration will be accepted until Friday, November 15. Please note that if you register after November 11, you will not be able to cancel your registration and no refunds will be given. Cancellations after registration are also non-refundable.
